12 Odd Prom Dresses That Will Make You Cringe

Prom season is one of the biggest moments of our teenage lives. Whether it comes to asking our dates to accompany us to the festivities, picking out the color scheme for you and your date to wear, from finding the perfect corsage to tailoring suits and finding the perfect dress, each step is just as important as the next and could make or break your adolescent social life. Unfortunately, things don’t always go as planned and what you thought might be a good idea ended up miserably failing when it comes to prom attire. Well, if you made a bad dress decision for your own prom, have no fear because these fifteen people topped you in the worst dressed category. Without further ado, check out these cringe-worthy and terrible prom dresses for yourself.

The Two-Piece

There’s a thin line in regards to what it is appropriate when it comes to a prom dress and honestly, this isn’t it if you ask us. Whoever this girl’s father is, we feel for him. That had to be one of the worst nights of his life to watch his daughter enter the den that is prom surrounded by horny teenage boys.

The Muppets

Don’t get us wrong, we’re huge fans of The Muppets from Kermit The Frog, to Bert and Ernie, to every character in Fraggle Rock but, we’d never thought we’d see the day when a young woman would wear a prom dress that looks like a transvestite version of Animal.

Come On…

We’re not sure what exactly is going on here but, it looks like she’s trying to use her dress to ward off anyone who comes in her direction. Honestly, if she lost the shoulder pad spikes this dress wouldn’t be half bad in our book.

Speechless

Alright, we’re starting this one off a little on the rough side and we know we’re not supposed to make fun of people’s looks but, this is just terrible all around. We’re not sure if this young lady’s dress was inspired Fruit Stripe gum and this guy’s suit looks like something out of The Flintstones. They definitely were the weird couple that was meant to be together on campus.

Just… No.

First and foremost, what kind of Mary Poppins bullsh*t is this? Secondly, what the hell is the material both of their outfits are made out of? It looks like the thick rubber that they make rain boots out of. They look happy but, this is just not… cool. Not, cool at all.

Grillz

So, this particular entry is less about the prom dresses and more about the stylish aesthetic of these two young ladies. From the looks of things, we have a feeling they might be huge fans of Master P. The braids are a little culturally appropriating but, who doesn’t love a gold grill?

So Many Frails

Here’s another dress that had potential to be decent at the least but, the multitude of frails and bulkiness of the dress take things overboard. Not to mention the use of black lace and the cheesy roses. This would be hot back in the 18th century.

A Blood Gang Prom

Red and white is actually not a bad color scheme when it comes to prom but, this young lady might have gone a little over the top with the bikini top and high dress slit. Then again ghetto fab never looked so good.

Her Knight In Shining Armor

We’re all for ultra-themed prom dresses but, this is just horrendous. These two should have been escorted off the premises of wherever their prom was. It looks like both of their outfits are extremely hot and the shoulder puff sleeves are definitely a turn-off.

Stripper Ready Prom Dress

We’ve seen some rather inappropriate prom dresses in our day but, this one might take the cake. Obviously, this young woman not only lacks parental guidance, she’s also lacking in the curves department. Not to mention this dress looks like something you might find at Strippers ‘R Us.

Taste The Rainbow

Honestly, this is yet another couple’s outfit that had the potential to kill at the prom but, just wasn’t executed to perfection. Honestly, we don’t see why people curate custom pieces when they’re done this cheaply. This almost worked out to their benefit but, nah.

Kool-Aid

Don’t get it twisted, we love Kool-Aid Jammers as much as the next man or woman but, wearing the pouches as a dress to one of the most important events of your adolescent life, definitely isn’t the brightest move to make. Chalk this one up as a fail.
